The car is Land Rover’s response to makers like Audi, Volvo, Saab and Mercedes, respectively with Q5, XC60, 9-4X and the GLK.Until the Ventura will be launched we will see the production version of the LRX Concept coming in 2010.

2010 New Land Rover

The three-door LRX is a sub-Freelander model, mooted to go on sale in 2010 and claimed to be the greenest-ever Land Rover. It is also the first all-new Land Rover revealed since Gerry McGovern became the company's design director.

The SUV uses weight and fuel-saving technologies shown on the Land-e concept last year, including a headlining made of recycled plastic bottles and a new eco mode for the electronic Terrain Response system to reduce urban emissions. Land Rover mysteriously promises that full details of its intelligent power management systems and other technologies will be released at the Detroit Show, where, in its 60th anniversary year, the company will start to gauge public reaction to this new design.
