Honda Odyssey 2008

The restyled 2008 Honda Odyssey minivan is equipped with a more fuel-efficient version of the available Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) i-VTEC V-6 engine. They featured a spacious cabin and an innovative fold-into-the-floor third-row seat. I'm impressed with Honda's combination of great attributes, such as roomy, comfortable cabin, sporty driving dynamics and a long standing impressive record for reliability.

Honda Odyssey 2008

Best Car magazine continues to rock our nation with artist conceptions of future models. The latest? Perhaps the next-generation Honda Odyssey.
From the looks of things, however, this illustration is likely of the Japan-market only Odyssey Stream. After the first generation, the Odyssey line diverged for the U.S. and Japanese markets -- we got larger, V-6-powered people movers modeled after the Toyota Sienna and Dodge Caravan, while Japan stuck with the 4-cylinder wagons, with four traditional doors. This new version seems to follow in the same mold, with a 2.4-liter, 200 ps (that's 197 horsepower to you, Yankee), i-VTEC inline-4.We've always loved the Odyssey Stream, with its tall wagon stance and techno front end accented by blue lights -- but won't hold our breath that this handsome update will ever come to the States. Too bad.
