Custom Motorcycle Parts - Why and How to Buy

There are a lot of enthusiastic motorbike owners in the world. A large proportion of those don't want to settle for a standard motorcycle. A lot want to customise their bikes using custom motorcycle parts and they spend a lot of time and money in the process.

So why do people spend their time and money on finding and fitting custom motorcycle parts? Well we have already mentioned it is a passion but it is a very personal passion. Yes when you are on your bike you can ride in a group but I find it a quite personal thing. The customisation allows you to express your personality.

Should you buy custom motorcycle parts for your bike? Well if you don't have the money then there won't be a lot that you can do as they are quite expensive. You don't need the time as you can pay someone to do it for you but then it comes down to money again. It really depends on how much it means to you.

What is the best way to find custom motorcycle parts? There are two ways and they are similar to any other hobbies that you might have. The first is specialist magazines. I love this way as you can carry the magazine around with you and whenever you get a spare chance you can start looking through. The second way is finding them on the internet.

Here is my tip for getting the best deal. Find what you want in the magazine but don't buy from there. Search on the internet using Google Shopping and it should show you the best deal. Don't be afraid to buy it if it comes from abroad.

I hope that this have given you a bit more information about buying custom motorcycle parts. If it is your passion then go for it but be careful, once you start buying them can become quite addictive!

Ridley Motorcycles Picture Design And Review

When Smith came on board, the team’s fortunes continued on the upswing. Smith’s racing knowledge has been a big help to the Hills and they’ve put that know-how to good use with a recent flurry of good runs at North Georgia Speedway, winning several races in the past few weeks.

“Our program has really picked up and we’re going to North Georgia this weekend on a pretty good roll,” Randy said. “Four weeks ago, Jeff won and I ran third. The next weekend, Jeff was on the pole and I was outside him; he won (the feature) and I was second. After that, I was the fast qualifier and managed to win a race. Jeff finished second.”

The two drivers are among the top threats to win tonight’s Crate points championship race — it’s a 20-lap event — and the $800 first-place prize money. On the day of his father’s cancer surgery, Randy made sure his dad was OK and then jumped in the hauler and took off for Jasper, Fla., to compete in a national go-kart event. But competing without his father with him was no picnic.

“We didn’t have a lot of luck,” Randy Hill said. “But dad wanted me to go. When I got back, I said, ‘When you’re ready to go back to racing, we’re going back.’ But I sure didn’t want to go without him again.”

With his father still recovering from the operation, Randy received an offer to drive a dirt-track car.

“I told the guy I’d love to,” Randy said. “I worked on that old car night and day trying to get it to go around a track. A while later dad saw that car in the shop and he told me to get it out of there. A couple of weeks after that, he called and asked if I had left for North Georgia Speedway yet. I told him we were on our way. He came down later. The next day he was back at the track with me. And we’ve gradually built up from there to where we now have three cars. He’s always supported me.”

Fitting BMW Motorcycle Adjustable Handlebar Risers

Since the launch of Dave Flood's adjustable handlebar risers last month there have been a number of enquiries on how to fit them and was it hard and did you have to extend cables and wires and things.

Keep in mind the Dave Flood risers only fit a limited number of BMW Motorcycles. These are the K series 1200 and 1300 R and S models and the R1200S model.

Why only the K series

The reason for this is that these models have a yoke type head into which the left and right hand bars are clamped. In other words it is not a single bar right across but one straight bar for the left and one for the right each fitted into a central head. It is this central head and the position of the faring that makes it hard to design risers that can go more than a couple of inches. Mind you the factory length of the cables and brake line also restrict just how much rise you can get.

High Risers

Some makers have made risers that do go quite a few inches more and this does require that these cables and the brake line be extended. This is no small job. It is also a nuisance if after fitting the extended bars you don't like them and want to go back to something a bit less if you find that you have overdone it and didn't really need that much more of a rise. Some riders think they need a lot of rise to get comfortable but the truth is it is amazing what just a little bit extra of change of position can make. For instance it might not be a raise at all that makes the bike more comfortable but a shift of bar position a bit more forward or back closer to you that does the trick.

Infinite Setting

This is where the Flood Adjustable Riser comes into its own. Because you can set them in any position you have the opportunity to play about with them until you find your best position and then lock them down right there. This saves you buying pair after pair to find the ones that match your comfort and most relaxed riding style. Not only that, but as you probably know, unless you can get truly comfortable you finish up with aches and pains after a good ride. That's why it is so important to spend the time and effort getting the right gear to make the bike match you and your way of riding.

History of Honda Motorcycle Success

The year 2010 has started off as a financial success for the Honda Motor Company who has seen profits with a net income of just over 72 billion Yen in Q1 of January-March. Honda were hit by the recession hard back in 2009 when in the same period, they saw a loss of nearly 179 billion Yen but are celebrating the improved situation this year.

Honda Motor Company was originally set up in the late 1940's by Japanese entrepreneur Soichiro Honda who aimed to produce a cheap method of transport for those after the Second World War. The company found a niche in the production of Motorcycles and release the 'C' model which was considered a success. This led to the production of what was later known as the 'Dream D' model which was an inexpensive bike with three horsepower and two-speed transmission. Honda then continued on his journey to produce a vast array of machines and Honda motorcycle parts which resulted in the eventual trust of the consumer and financial success.

Having moved on significantly both in technological advances and history, Honda have celebrated great success this year. This is due to many factors including a great increase in the operations of Asia which increased by 28.2%. This is due to both increased numbers of motorcycles and automobiles sold, as well as the changes in currency translations.

For the last financial year ending 31st March 2010, Honda released figures of a 95.9% increase in net income and the company's revenue for this year amounted to 8.57 trillion Yen. This was still a decrease compared to that of the fiscal year 2008-2009, but still shows good recovery. The company are now expecting a net income of 340 billion Yen for the next financial year 2010-2011, with projected sales of 9.34 trillion Yen. The company's motorcycle sector showed sales of 2.6 million units for the January-March period which is an increase in 30% compared to that of last year.

Honda are hoping to continue this success in order to reach their projected targets for 2011 and are set to make great profits next year. This reflects how the company has worked to gain even more market share within the automobile and motorcycle industry. With their range of high quality Honda motorcycles released this year as well as Honda motorcycle spares and accessories, they are looking to increase this share even further and remain one of the biggest motorcycle manufacturers the World has even seen.
